Privacy
What we collect, what we don't, what we'd do if asked. Plain English.

What we store about you
- Your email and a hashed password. Required for sign-in.
- The contents of your sites (text, images, design files you create).
- Your edit chat history with the assistant — needed for context across sessions.
- Per-site memory the assistant writes about your site (design decisions, structure) so it doesn't start from zero each turn.
- Payment receipts from Stripe if you buy an edit pack (last 4 digits of the card, the amount, the date — we never see the full card number).
What we don't do
- No third-party analytics on the sites you build. Your visitors don't get tracked.
- No advertising trackers. We have no ads to sell.
- No sharing your sites' contents with anyone. They go to the AI model only when you ask for an edit, and only for that edit.
- No selling your email or data. We don't have a buyer list.
Sub-processors
kwaku's chat assistant routes your edit prompt and the relevant parts of your site files through a third-party language model provider so the model can respond. That provider's privacy policy applies to that traffic. Stripe processes payments. Hetzner hosts the server. That's the full list; we don't sub out anything else.
Your visitors
The sites you build on kwaku ship with no analytics, no third-party fonts (unless you ask), no tracking pixels. Your visitors' IPs hit our server log briefly for routing; we don't retain them past 7 days. If you add a Google font, a tracking script, or a chat widget, that's on you — kwaku doesn't add any by default.
Deleting your account
From your account page, click "delete account." We remove your sites, your chat history, your tenant container, and your user row. The pre-deletion backup is purged within 30 days. We don't retain anything we don't need to keep the platform running.
Subpoenas, law enforcement
If a lawful court order requires us to produce data, we comply, narrowly. We notify you first unless the order legally forbids it. We've never received one. If you're a journalist or activist with elevated risk, talk to us before deciding to host with kwaku.
Contact
Reach the operator at hello@kwaku.app. Replies usually within a couple of days.
